TR 2012 is sure to live on in as one of the more memorable TR's
in recent history. Of course, this is largely due to the cameras once
again rolling much of the weekend. After having missed 2 of the last
3 Serb Fests, Krangis and family returned this year on a mission to
capture the final critical footage to bring his next TR video materpiece
to life! His work primarily focused on interviews this year, but Krangis
and Scott (with some significant help from CR) pulled off capturing
priceless footage - particularly of Crazy Dan, who managed to offer
the perfect mix of sincerity, seriousness, and of course, CRAZY...
Of course, the weekend wasn't all about filming. TR 2012 may have turned
out to be the hottest in its near 40 year history with temperatures
soaring into the mid to upper 90's each day! It took some stretegic
placement of camp and several relocations, but the group managed to
beat the heat and stay shaded and relatively comfortable. I think we're
all glad we stuck it out!
Serb Fest's 3rd Generation continued to show growth with 3 newborn or
toddler first time attendees. This obviously contributed to the continued
evolution of the larger group's dynamic. With more children, meant more
chaos, more nap time, earlier nights and less alcohol. But none of that
got in the way of anyone's good time; even those who were without children.
This is a resiliant group and you truly have to work hard not to enjoy
yourself at TR!
