[TURKEY RUN :: SERB FEST - Online] Fire & Ice Extravaganza ::



	The Serb Fest Hall of Fame was introduced in 2003 at a time when today's generation believed that the days of sharing Memorial Day Weekend with the elder generation of Serb Fest attendees were likely behind them. And while their attendance resumed just one year later, there was a sense that the Serb Fest torch had been passed to the next generation, and in light of this, they felt it appropriate to honor those who established Serb Fest as the time-honored tradition that it remains today. Uncertain of the future attendance of the newly inducted Serb Fest Hall of Famers, Jovan Zelenkovich offered up these words to the attendees of TR 2003 in the weeks leading up to the weekend. These words remain as relevent to today's Serb Fest almost a decade later.

While we've seen some attendees step away from Serb Fest for various reasons, it's safe to say the door is never closed for any of these fine people to return! Take Sean Sullivan for instance - A one-time attendee in 2000 made an unexpected return in 2012. There are a number of men from the infamous TR 2004 who could very well make a return at some point. As for Feces Mike and Family.... we're working on them! I do believe we'll see them back before too long!

:: FULL PROFILE ::	Sean Sullivan :: Serb Fest Origin :: Zelenkovich Family First Serb Fest :: 2000 Recruited by :: OLAF Sean was a TR 2000 recruit by OLAF. While it is presumed that he enjoyed himself greatly that year, it was to be his only trip to TR. This, the case until rumors began flying in late April 2004 that his attendance was likely for TR 04. Unfortunately, this never materialized. However, Sean along with his wife Melissa did finally make the highly anticipated return to TR in 2012!

:: FULL PROFILE ::	Dan F :: Serb Fest Origin :: Zelenkovich Family First Serb Fest :: 1999 Recruited by :: Scott Berger Dan, after just one trip to Turkey Run in the late '90s, he successfully made near TR legend status with a series of antics at TR 1999. After a 4 year absence from Turkey Run, everyone wasin HIGH anticipation of his triumphant return in 2004! Amidst this great anticipation, Dan answered the call by holding a press conference in the Spring of 2004 to officially announce his return to TR. In 2006, Dan was at the center of a dispute that nearly resulted in the second official demerit in TR history. Opinions were mixed on the matter - but after careful considerations, the Founding Members refrained from issuing the demerit. After 3 consecutive years in attendance in the mid 2000's, Dan parted ways with TR in what most would agree was an unfortunate set of circumstances. None the less, despite his near-demerit in 2006, Dan has always been a fine representation of the Tenets of Turkey Run. His Legend will most definitely live on in a positive light and perhaps one day in the future, he will return to the grills of Turkey Run.

With the initiation of the game of Bags, he soon unleased a dominance that could not be competed with. Drinking an entire bottle of Mad Dog Malt Liquer on Saturday afternoon wasn't even enough to waiver his skills. His ability to consume large amounts of alcohol and interact with the Serbs earned him Rookie of the Year honors by unanimous vote!

Unfortunately, due to family obligations, he was never able to attend. While he was skeptical of the hype, its safe to say he now understands what TR is all about. Its just a Barbeque!... with a few added features!

He no doubt was able to provide an unusual brand of entertainment to the group - always a welcomed trait. In 2008, the Intellectual of the Year award was officially renamed in honor of its first ever recipient. A fitting way to pay respect to the intellectual of all intellectual TR attendees, past, present and future.

He should indeed be commended for his initiative in learning the fine art of grilling cevapcici. This was very remeniscent of TR 03's rookie of the year. Unfortunately, to date, TR 04 has been the only year of attendance for the Truck... but in January of 2008, in an encounter with Scott, Chuck most definitely expressed great interest in one day returning to TR!
